Rhino is dialing up another righteous Rocktober, with 54 limited-edition vinyl releases dropping on select Fridays all month long, starting October 2.

Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell revealed during an interview that his cancer has returned after a failed transplant.

Campbell, who was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2013, revealed the news when asked about how his initial cancer diagnosis changed his perspective on life.

“Well, I think you have to keep moving forward,” he responded (as transcribed by blabbermouth.net). “And I do think that that’s what helped me, even when I was at a really low ebb with cancer treatment. The fact that I could still continue to work, that gives me something to live for, something that you enjoy, that you’re passionate about, that you can wake up in the morning and look forward to. I think that deflects, that takes away from focusing too much on cancer.”

Campbell underwent bone marrow surgery last year and was given the all-clear as a result.

“There’s only been one time that I felt it was gonna kill me,” Campbell said of his diagnosis. “In the winter of 2023, I got really scared about what was happening and the pace at which it was happening. And I realized at that point that I had to do a donor transplant. It was my only hope to survive … I did that in January of ’25 .… Unfortunately, it didn’t stick. So the cancer has returned, and I’m continuing treatments to manage it. I’ll probably have to do another transplant within a few years with another donor to try and see if maybe that would cure me.”

Foo Fighters are set to fill in for The Pretty Reckless as special guests of AC/DC for a one-night-only event in St. Louis on Tuesday, September 8th.

The concert at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, Missouri, is part of AC/DC’s “PWR/UP World Tour,” which concludes with a show in Philadelphia on September 29th. The tour is in support of AC/DC’s 17th studio album PWR/UP, which arrived in 2020 and reached No. 1 in 21 countries.

A statement from AC/DC reads, “Foo Fighters are taking a special one-off detour from their Take Cover Global Stadium Tour to fill in for their friends The Pretty Reckless as special guests of AC/DC for one night only in St. Louis. The performance brings two generations of rock’s biggest live acts together for a one-night-only event, with the Foo Fighters opening for the band’s St. Louis tour stop.”

Talking about his love for AC/DC and how they helped shape his own music career, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl said that AC/DC’s concert film Let There Be Rock introduced him to the raw, primal power of rock and roll performance for the first time.

“It’s safe to say that If it weren’t for this movie, this band, and their decades of timeless anthems, I surely would have approached my life in music from a different perspective,” Grohl said, adding, “My band Foo Fighters will share a stage with the gentlemen who are single handedly responsible for my determination to give every audience everything I have, every night. This is literally a dream come true. So…..if you want blood….you’ve got it. Let there be  rock, St Louis. See you September 8th.”

After a gap of two years, OzzFest will return to Ozzy Osbourne’s hometown in 2027.

Ozzfest 2027 will be held at Birmingham’s Villa Park, where the “Back to the Beginning” concert featuring the farewell performances of Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne took place last year.

A brief announcement posted on the official Ozzfest Instagram page reads, “Ozzfest 2027 at @AstonVilla’s Villa Park – more info on everything coming soon!” It did not specify the festival dates.

Founded by by Ozzy’s wife and manager Sharon Osbourne in 1996, Ozzfest was held almost annually until 2018. The Ozzfest tour featured bands of a variety of genres within heavy metal and hard rock.

Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22, 2025, seventeen days after Black Sabbath’s farewell concert. In the wake of Ozzy’s death, there have been calls to revive the rock and metal festival in his memory.

Sharon Osbourne and son Jack Osbourne had announced in March that Ozzfest would return in 2027 for two nights in Birmingham.
