The Cure Share ‘A Fragile Thing’ EP Featuring Live Version, Robert Smith Remix

The Cure recently released a new EP, A Fragile Thing, which features a live version of the single as well as a remix by Robert Smith.

The original “Fragile Thing” track appears on The Cure’s 14th studio album, Songs Of A Lost World, which arrived earlier in November.

The four-track A Fragile Thing EP features a live performance of the single from the launch show that took place at the Troxy in London on November 1. The EP also contains “A Fragile Thing – RS24 Remix” by frontman Robert Smith and a shortened audio edit of the original version.

“Thank you again to everyone for helping make the Troxy London night so special – in the room and around the world,” The Cure wrote to announce the release of the EP and the global live-stream of the gig.

The group also said that the live recording was mixed by Smith himself.

Smith had explained in October that “A Fragile Thing” was about “how love is the most enduring of emotion. It’s the most powerful emotion, and it’s incredibly resilient. And yet at the same time, incredibly fragile.”

The majority of Band on the Run was recorded at EMI’s studio in Lagos, Nigeria, as McCartney wanted to make an album in an exotic location. Sammy Hagar Explains Why Kenny Aronoff Replaced Jason Bonham As Drummer

Sammy Hagar recently explained to Rolling Stone the reason for Kenny Arnoff replacing Jason Bonham as his band’s drummer.

Arnoff came into the group earlier this year for the final dates of The Best Of All Worlds Summer Tour when Bonham temporarily stepped away due to a family emergency. However, it now seems Arnoff has come to stay for longer and will be part of the group during Hagar’s upcoming Best Of All Worlds Las Vegas Residency in 2025.

“There’s two reasons,” Hagar explained to Rolling Stone. “Number one, he’s one of the greatest drummers on the planet. I think he’s been on more million-selling records than any musician in the world. And he did so well on this tour, and he plays with Joe on a full-time basis.”

“And he blew my mind. I played with Kenny in Chickenfoot, and he blew my mind then too, because when we auditioned him, he learns every song,” he continued. “‘Tell me what songs we’re playing.’ ‘Okay, here they are.’ He charts them out and he sits there, and he can read it, and play it with soul and power perfectly, just one time, the first time he plays it. If that don’t blow a musician’s mind, I don’t know what would, especially these kinds of songs. These songs are crazy. They’re Van Halen arrangements.”
