OFFBEAT NEWS:
Bar In The UK Also Has A Zoo In Their Backyard
If you’re tired of your same old neighborhood bar, you might want to move to Kent, England. The people over at The Fenn Bell Inn have turned their backyard into a zoo.
So far owner Andy Cowell has collected four different breeds of monkeys, genets (an African wild cat), meerkats, lemurs, birds of prey, raccoons and more. Now Cowell has received a full license, which means he can technically keep any kind of animal as long has he has the required enclosure.
“If someone turned up here with a pet lion that they didn’t want any longer we could keep it,” Cowell explains. “Obviously, you need the appropriate amount of space for animals such as elephants but we are looking to grow over the years to come.”
The zoo isn’t targeted at drunks, however. Thanks to strict laws governing animal welfare, visitors will only be able to see the animals during the day.

Massive Lobster Found Inside Luggage
TSA seems to be adding more rules daily but it’s far to say we all know live animals are a no go. An unnamed passenger at Boston’s Logan International Airport missed the memo and tried to bring a 20-pound lobster on his flight.
TSA spotted the animal, which was still alive, and prevented the lobster from boarding. It’s unclear what happened to the traveler, but officials say the crustacean “cooperated quite nicely.”
For the record, you can take a lobster on your flight, but there are rules. In order to bring a live lobster aboard, it must be transported in a “clear, plastic, spill-proof container.” Now we know.

Senior Citizen Fulfills Her Lifelong Dream Of Seeing A Male Stripper
98-year-old British woman Betty Wright was asked by her nursing home staff what was left on her bucket list. It turns out, Betty wanted to see a male stripper.
So, Betty’s caregiver and daughter brought her to a performance by The Dreamboys, a famous male stripper group in the UK. At one point, the exotic dancers even brought Betty’s daughter Tanya up on stage and according to Betty, it was the highlight of the night.
“She was determined to call me afterwards to tell me how fantastic it was,” Ryan Moring, the head of Betty’s nursing home, remembers.

STUPID CRIMINALS:
Kidnapping suspect arrested at Iron Maiden concert:
If you’re wanted by the cops, it’s time to put your social life on hold. Derrick Roseland was wanted for aggravated kidnapping in Austin, Texas but decided to go to Iron Maiden’s San Antonio tour stop. The friend he went with, who isn’t being named, was very excited and posted details about going to the show, including where they were sitting. Local authorities went to the AT& Center in San Antonio, walked up to their seats and arrested Derrick without incident. No word on if the alleged kidnapper got to hear any of Maiden’s set.
Police officer tries to stab someone with a butterknife at a birthday party:
Once again, just because you’re a cop doesn’t mean you can do whatever you want. An unnamed officer in Krefeld, Germany was arrested after losing his temper at a birthday party while off-duty. Aside from knocking a woman to the ground, causing her to lose consciousness, the cop also tried to stab a fellow partygoer in the stomach with a butterknife. Fortunately for the victim, the ill-tempered officer wasn’t able to pierce the skin and left only superficial wounds. The cop was only stopped after someone hit him over the head with the glass bottle. Not surprisingly, the very angry man didn’t go quietly. After a night in detention, the cop was let go. Now police are investigating to ensure the punishment is being given with impartiality.
