The Allman Brothers Band’s Final Concert Being Released As Live Album

The Allman Brothers Band has announced that their final concert will be released as a live album on October 25.

On October 28, 2014, after 45 years of performing the greatest live music in rock history, the southern rock/blues band played its final concert at the Beacon Theatre in New York City.

Warren Haynes compiled a spectacular, three-set show. Almost 30 songs, drawn from six ABB albums, along with three strong covers represented the musical trajectory of the group.

The marathon show ended early in the morning of October 29, which was the forty-third anniversary of ABB founder Duane Allman’s death.

The Final Concert 10-28-14 is officially being released via Peach Records. Re-mastered with improved sound quality, the Final Concert will be available digitally on October 25 and as a special 3-CD package with extensive 16-page booklet featuring exclusive photos and liner notes on November 22.

“Having joined the Allman Brothers Band in 1991, I had no idea what I was getting myself into as a percussionist joining two drummers on stage,” said percussionist Marc Quinones. “Fast forward 23 years to the last show we played as the Allman Brothers Band. I feel honored to have been part of such a historical musical force that was and is the ABB. Love live the ABB!”

Duran Duran Share Cover Of ELO’s ‘Evil Woman’

Duran Duran recently shared a cover of ELO’s “Evil Woman,” one of the bonus tracks on Danse Macabre – De Luxe.

Danse Macabre – De Luxe arrived digitally on October 11th and will be available on CD and as a vinyl box set on October 25th via BMG/Tape Modern.

Duran Duran adds their signature disco flair to ELO’s original with energetic strings, synths, and guitar from longtime Duran Duran guitarist, Dom Brown, and Simon Le Bon’s unmistakable vocals.

Duran Duran has also announced a short North American east-coast run, set to begin on October 21, bringing the legendary, award-winning four-piece to Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Maryland and New Hampshire.

Speaking on the new release, Nick Rhodes says, “When we released our Danse Macabre project last year it was born from a spontaneous decision to pull together a record that celebrated the madness and joy of Halloween. In doing so, we unlocked an unexpected box of curiosity and creativity, which led us to reimagine some of our older songs, record cover versions of some of our favorites, and write several new pieces.”
