ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons Announces 2026 North American Tour Dates

ZZ Top frontman Billy Gibbons has announced new North American tour dates for early 2026 as part of his ongoing solo project, Billy F Gibbons and the BFG Band.

With Billy on guitar and vocals, the group also includes fellow Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Chris “Whipper” Layton on drums and Austin legend Mike “The Drifter” Flanigin on Hammond organ, bass and backing vocals.

The tour kicks off on January 20th at the Uptown Theatre in Napa, California, followed by a string of California dates with appearances thereafter in Santa Fe and Denver. The 27-show trek also includes a two-night stand at the City Winery in New York City.

“I’m joined with Whipper and The Drifter, in our collective Texas collective blues tradition,” Gibbons says. “There’s a bond that speaks volumes about our sonic skew,” adding, “one might hear a surf tune or some other detour of loudness as what we do is looser than our collective background might suggest. We predict good times as we always say, ‘Ya’ can’t lose with the blues.'”

The legendary supergroup, consisting of Rodgers, drummer Simon Kirke, late guitarist Mick Ralphs, and late bassist Boz Burrell, is set to be inducted into the coveted Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame on Saturday, November 8.

The band’s surviving members, Rodgers and Kirke, were set to reunite after officially retiring in 2023 for their induction speech and a special performance.

However, Rodgers has confirmed that he will not be attending the ceremony due to his health.

In an Instagram post, Rodgers wrote, “My hope was to be at the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony and to perform for the fans, but at this time I have to prioritize my health. I have no problem singing, it’s the stress of everything else. Thanks for understanding.”

Beatles Biopics Officially Cast Fab Four’s Wives

Sony Pictures has unveiled the long-awaited four cast members set to play the Fab Four’s wives in the upcoming Beatles biopics.

BAFTA winner Mia McKenna-Bruce, Four-time Academy Award Nominee and Golden Globe Award winner Saoirse Ronan, Emmy and Golden Globe Award winning Anna Sawai, and BAFTA TV winner Aimee Lou Wood are confirmed to star in Sam Mendes-directed The Beatles — A Four-Film Cinematic Event.

McKenna-Bruce will star as Maureen (Cox) Starkey, Ronan as Linda (Eastman) McCartney, Sawai as Yoko Ono, and Wood as Pattie Boyd.

The announcement of actors portraying Cynthia Lennon, Brian Epstein, George Martin, Ravi Shankar and other key roles will be forthcoming.

Starring Harris Dickinson, Barry Keoghan, Paul Mescal and Joseph Quinn, the films mark the first time Apple Corps Ltd. and The Beatles – John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr – have granted full life story and music rights for a scripted film. Mendes conceived four theatrical feature films — one from each band member’s distinct point of view — that will intersect to tell the astonishing story of the greatest band in history.

The Beatles—A Four-Film Cinematic Event is a Neal Street production in association with Apple Corps for Sony Pictures. Mendes is producing alongside his Neal Street partner Pippa Harris and Neal Street’s Julie Pastor. Alexandra Derbyshire is also producing.

Sony Pictures will finance and distribute worldwide with full theatrical windows in April 2028.
