Stevie Nicks Announces Twelve New U.S. Tour Dates

Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Stevie Nicks has added twelve new dates to her upcoming U.S. tour.

As per the announcement, Nicks will perform in Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, California, Utah, Colorado, Indiana, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, and Michigan, in addition to the previously announced dates.

Nicks’ performances during the trek include two co-headlining shows with Billy Joel, on March 9th and June 21st, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and at Chicago’s Soldier Field, respectively.

Born on this day in 1939 – Ray Manzarek

Born on this day in 1939 – Ray Manzarek, keyboards, with The Doors, who had the 1967 US No.1 & UK No.9 single ‘Light My Fire’ and the 1971 single ‘Riders On The Storm’. Manzarek died on 20th May 2013, he had suffered from bile duct cancer for many years. He formed the band with lead singer Jim Morrison in 1965 after a chance meeting in Venice Beach, Los Angeles.

Foreigner Announce Limited Edition ‘Farewell – The Very Best Of Foreigner’ Vinyl

Foreigner have announce Farewell – The Very Best Of Foreigner (Hot Blooded Edition), a limited-edition album on red vinyl, which the band describes as the perfect Valentine’s gift for your loved ones.

The album features many of the band’s biggest hits produced by Mick Jones with Jeff Pilson. Songs on the album include “Feels Like the First Time,” “Cold As Ice,” “Double Vision,” “Hot Blooded,” “I Want To Know What Love Is” and “Juke Box Hero.”

Only a limited edition of 5,000 copies have been produced and can be ordered now.

Meanwhile, Foreigner is set to kick off the next leg of their Farewell tour on March 1 in Newkirk, Oklahoma. They currently have dates confirmed through November 9 in Las Vegas.

Born on this day in 1942 – Carole King

Born on this day in 1942 – American singer-songwriter and musician Carole King. One of the most successful female songwriters of the latter half of the 20th century in the US, she wrote or co-wrote 118 pop hits on the Billboard Hot 100. and wrote 61 hits that charted in the UK making her the most successful female songwriter on the UK singles charts between 1962 and 2005. Her 1970 US No.1 album Tapestry has sold over 15 million copies, remained on the US charts for more than six years and became a Grammy Award winner in 1971.

Heart Announce First Tour In Five Years

Heart have announced plans to embark on the “Royal Flush” tour this spring, marking their first tour in five years.

The trek will kick off on April 20 in Greenville, South Carolina, and conclude on September 22 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado.

The tour will feature Cheap Trick as support on most of the North American leg, while Squeeze will open a handful of Heart’s summer European dates.

Heart will also join Def Leppard and Journey for three previously announced summer stadium shows in Cleveland, Toronto and Boston and will make an appearance at the New Orleans Jazz And Heritage Festival on April 28.

“The exceptional talent of the band brings a whole new level of energy to Heart’s live performance,” Heart’s Ann Wilson says.

Nancy Wilson adds, “I am incredibly proud of the show that our band has crafted and am looking forward to reconnecting with our fans.”

On this day in 1969 – The Who record ‘Pinball Wizard’

On this day in 1969 – The Who recorded ‘Pinball Wizard’ at Morgan Studio’s, London, England. The song is one of the band’s most famous live songs, being played at almost every Who concert since its debut live performance on 2 May 1969. The track which featured on their 1969 rock opera album Tommy was released as a single in 1969 and reached No. 4 in the UK charts and No. 19 in the US.

RINGO STARR TO RELEASE COUNTRY ALBUM

Ringo Starr has no intention of slowing down. In a recent video update for fans, the former Beatle announced his very busy itinerary for 2024.

First update: the drummer/singer has a new country project in the works. “I’m still in the studio, and you know what’s happening? I was gonna do a … country EP, but as things are unfolding, it’s probably going to be like a real CD, 10 tracks. Can you believe it? I haven’t done one of them in a long time. So that’s getting made ready.”

Second update: he has a new four-song EP coming out (“Crooked Boy”), the result of a collaboration with songwriter/producer Linda Perry. “She wrote the songs for me. She produced them. She’s a beauty, so musical,” Starr said. “She has a great vibe. Peace and love, Linda.” The video also displayed the “Crooked Boy” EP’s packaging, revealing that the songs are titled “Gonna Need Someone,” “Crooked Boy,” “February Sky,” and “Adeline.” In addition, Strokes guitarist Nick Valensi played on all four tracks, while Perry contributed guitar and backing vocals to some of the tunes.

And the final part of Ringo’s update: his 2024 tour plans with his “All Starr Band.” “In May-June, we’re on tour again,” he said. “And if you can’t make those dates, in September-October we’re on tour again. So it’s gonna be a great year.”

Billy Joel, Sting Announce Co-Headlining Shows In San Antonio, Las Vegas

Billy Joel and Sting have announced two co-headlining shows in San Antonio and Las Vegas later this year.

Their one-night-only performance at The Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, is scheduled to be held on October 25. The iconic musicians will each perform their most beloved songs from throughout their illustrious careers.

Their co-headlining performance at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas is set for November 9. Tickets for both shows are on sale now.

Joel had performed at Allegiant Stadium in February 2022, while Sting returns to Las Vegas following his critically-acclaimed “My Songs” residency that ran at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace from October 2021 through April 2023.

Joel is one of the most engaging and best-selling live performers of music, with songs like “Uptown Girl,” “Just The Way You Are,” “The Longest Time’ and “Vienna” – amongst countless others. The singer/songwriter/composer is the sixth best-selling recording artist and the fourth-best-selling solo artist with over 160 million records sold worldwide.

Composer, singer-songwriter, actor, author, and activist Sting has won 11 Grammy Awards, two Brits, a Golden Globe, an Emmy and four Oscar nominations. He has sold 100 million albums from his combined work with The Police and as a solo artist.
