Mickey Jones Dead at 76

Actor and Former Bob Dylan Drummer Mickey Jones has died at the age of 76, as reported by the Los Angeles Times.

Jones started out as a drummer for artists such as Kenny Rogers and Bob Dylan before embarking on a prolific career as a character actor, appearing in shows such as “Justified” and “Home Improvement.”
While an exact cause of death has yet to be reported, his publicist has attributed his death (via the Los Angeles Times) to “a long illness”.

Jones was born in 1941 in Houston, Texas. In the late ’50s, he landed a job drumming for Trini Lopez, and in ’60s, he drummed for many popular artists, including Bob Dylan. Jones most recently worked on J.K. Simmons’s comedy “Growing Up Fisher” and “Newsreaders”.
