The Iowa State Fair’s 11-day run ended Sunday and it will likely set an attendance record.

During the first 10 days of the State Fair, 1,114,985 people entered the fairgrounds. That tally was within 68,000 of the attendance record set during the 2024 Iowa State Fair and it’s likely yesterday’s attendance easily topped that number.

Rainy conditions dampened attendance on the first two days of this year’s fair, but once the skies cleared, single-day attendance records were set on Sunday, August 16th, as well as last Monday, then again on Friday and Saturday. Saturday’s count of nearly 131,000 is the all-time single day attendance record for the State Fair.
