On this day in 1982, Vangelis was at No.1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart with “Chariots of Fire”.  The single was the instrumental theme for the soundtrack of the 1981 film Chariots of Fire. The song on the film’s soundtrack album is called “Titles” but on the charts, it was listed as “Chariots of Fire – Titles”.
