On this day in 1975, Led Zeppelin started a six-week run at #1 on the US album chart with Physical Graffiti. The album was the band’s sixth studio album and their fourth to hit #1. On the first day of its release, the album shipped a million copies.
Physical Graffiti has since been Certified 16x Platinum by the RIAA for US sales in excess of 16 million copies.
