The Doobie Brothers have postponed their four upcoming tour dates as a member of the touring personnel has tested positive with COVID-19.
The band’s shows in Clarkston, Michigan, on September 2, Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, on September 4, Toledo, Ohio, on September 5 and Cincinnati, Ohio, on September 8 will be rescheduled and new dates will be announced shortly.
The band urged fans to hold on to their tickets for the newly scheduled dates. The tour will reconvene on September 9 at Blossom Music Center in Cayuhoga Falls, Ohio.
Reports say that the infected member of The Doobie Brothers is keyboardist/vocalist Michael McDonald, who was absent from the band’s performance Tuesday night.
McDonald’s reunion trek with the Doobie Brothers was launched on August 22. It was originally scheduled to be held last year but was postponed to 2021 due to the pandemic.
