Oskaloosa High’s football team held its awards banquet Friday night (10/30). Four Indians earned first team All-District honors: receiver and defensive back Will Schultz, fullback and linebacker Cale Holmberg, receiver and defensive back Cooper Spry and linebacker Colin Snitker. Center Noah Ide was a second team All-District choice, with honorable mention to linebacker Leland Evans and safety Reed Brown.
Keaton Flaherty, Reed Brown and Donivan Tighe were all named Academic All-District.
Cooper Spry received awards for best offensive back, best perimeter defender, and best special teams skill player. Noah Ide was named best offensive lineman; Colin Snitker best interior defensive player; Cale Holmberg best special teams impact player; and Kale Bollinger won the outstanding strength and conditioning award.
Reed Brown won the Kenneth Heinle Academic Excellence Award as the senior with the highest academic standing. Andrew Else won the Down-Up Award for perseverance. Cale Holmberg was awarded the David Roepke Commitment to Excellence Award and named the team’s Most Valuable Player.
