Here’s a rundown of all the area athletes who have qualified for this week’s Class 2A state track meet.
Starting with the girls:
Qualifying from Pella Christian: Erica Nikkel in the 100, Mary Kate Bandstra in the 200, Allison Van Gorp in the shot and discus, and the Eagles’ 4 x 100, 4 x 200 and sprint medley relay teams.
Qualifying from EBF: Brooke Shafer in the 400 hurdles.
Qualifying from PCM: Margo Chipps in the 100 hurdles & 400 hurdles, Sierra Foster in the 200, Morgan Uhlenhopp in the 400 hurdles, Alexis Keucker in the long jump and the Mustangs’ 4 x 200, 4 x 400, spring medley and 4 x 100 shuttle hurdle relay teams.
Qualifying from Chariton: Emma Cochran in the 100 hurdles.
Boys’ qualifiers for state 2A track:
Qualifying from EBF: Kalen Walker in the 100 & 200.
Qualifying from Pella Christian: Levi Schelhaas in the 200, Blake Veenstra in the shot and discus, and the Eagles’ 4 x 200 and 4 x 400 relay teams.
Qualifying from PCM, Reed Worth in the 200, Cole Dustin in the 110 hurdles, Nigel Sperfslage in the 400 hurdles, Payton Strouers in the long jump, and the Mustangs’ 4 x 200, sprint medley and 4 x 110 shuttle hurdle relays.
Qualifying from Albia: Logan Stalzer & Nick Heffron in the 400 and the Blue Demons’ 4 x 100, 4 x 400 and sprint medley relay teams.
Qualifying from Chariton: the Chargers’ 4 x 800 relay team.
