This is homecoming week at Oskaloosa High School. Student Council adviser Kim Gile tells us what’s going on in the early part of the week.
“On Monday, we have powder puff football at Lacey. It will happen following the JV football game. We have 20 girls on each team and they’re coached by the boys and they’ll play some powder puff football. And then on Tuesday following the varsity game, we have powder puff volleyball where the senior boys will square off and play some volleyball.”
Then on Thursday night (9/27), the Homecoming Parade will be at 6:30 in the square in Oskaloosa. Following that, the Homecoming King & Queen will be crowned at Community Stadium, followed by a talk by Dr. Kyle Ford, an Oskaloosa High grad who is now a dentist in the area. Friday night is the Homecoming football game with Oskaloosa hosting Newton. That’s at 7:30 Friday night at Lacey Recreation Complex and you can hear that game on KMZN and the No Coast Network.
