Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin, and Rick Wakeman, collectively known as ARW, have decided to officially change the name of their band. The offshoot of Yes will now be known as Yes Featuring Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin, Rick Wakeman.
In Anderson’s press release, he explained the decision. “It’s very simple: The fans want it, we want it and it’s our right to use the name.” “Yes music is in our DNA.”
Yes is currently lead by Steve Howe, which also includes longtime band contributors Alan White, Geoff Downes and Billy Sherwood.
The official ARW website has already changed its URL to YESfeaturingARW.com. Also on the page, is a video touting the new name for “the definitive lineup of the greatest progressive rock band ever.” This new tour is set to begin on Aug. 26, with shows continuing in October.
