Red Rock: The Town Beneath the Lake will take place on Friday, August 5th, starting at 8:30 pm, at the N. Overlook Picnic. The town of Red Rock was once a thriving, industrious community and home to many colorful, pioneering people. Once hopeful that the Red Rock Dam would save them from the Des Moines River’s frequent flooding, it eventually sealed their fate. Join a Park Ranger to catch a glimpse of this historic settlement now lying beneath the waters of the lake!
