The Mahaska County Conservation Board invites you to a workshop held at the Russell Wildlife Area that will teach you how to flesh and tan an animal hide.  During this workshop, participants will take time over four different days learning one method on how this is done.  This will be a hands-on workshop and participants will be able to take home the hide they worked on.  Animal hides such as raccoon or beaver will be provided for you, but you may bring your own.  Animal hide donations are appreciated, too!  You must pre-register by January 29^th by calling MCCB at(641)673-9327.  The workshop dates are:

Monday, Feb. 8 (6:30-7:30 pm)

Tuesday, Feb. 9 (6:30-7:30 pm)
