It’s time again for the annual Color Me United 5K and YMCA Healthy Kids Day! This year’s events will be held on April 29th, from 8:30 am – 11:00 am, at the William Penn Activity Center, hosted by United Way of Mahaska County and the YMCA of Mahaska County.

The Color Me United 5K is a color run event with proceeds benefiting the Oskaloosa chapter of Iowa Reading Corps. This fun run is for all ages and abilities, so bring the whole family!

5K Registration Fees*:
Adults and children 13+: $25
Children 6-12: $15
Children 5 and under: FREE

*Fees include a T-Shirt and race bib.

The second half of this awesome event is YCMA Healthy Kids Day! Healthy Kids Day is a FREE event to celebrate health and wellness in the Mahaska County community! Local businessses and organizations will host booths with fun activities for kids, and anyone who completes their Activities Bingo Card will get a prize! Healthy Kids Day will feature bounce houses, other inflatable games, Punt, Kick, Pass, and much, much more!

Event Schedule:
7:30 am – 5K Registration and Check-In Opens
8:30 am – 5K Starts and Healthy Kids Day Activities Begin
11:00 am – Healthy Kids Day Activities End

Weather Implications:
The YMCA Healthy Kids Day portion of this event will take place regardless of weather. If weather prevents the Color Me United 5K from taking place on April 29th, the run will be rescheduled for Saturday, May 13th.
