Join the Mahaska County Conservation Board on their annual canoe and kayak float down the Des Moines River on Saturday, August 15th.  Pre-registration is required by calling the MCCB at (641)673-9327.  We will launch  from Eveland Access at 9:00 am and arrive at Hardfish Access at approximately 3:00 pm, depending upon the river conditions.  There is no cost for this event and MCCB has a limited number of canoes, kayaks and life jackets available for use.  Participants may bring their own lunch and canoe or kayak.   More detailed information will be provided when calling the MCCB to sign up for the event.  Co-sponsors of this event are the Mahaska Wellness Coalition, Mahaska County YMCA and the Wapello County Conservation Board.
