David Gilmour Says He Will ‘Absolutely Not’ Perform With Roger Waters Again

David Gilmour says he will “absolutely not” perform with Roger Waters again.

The Pink Floyd guitarist ruled out any chances of sharing the stage with his former bandmate and Pink Floyd co-founder while answering a fan at a Q&A with The Guardian.

He made it clear that he doesn’t prefer the company of people who support leaders like Russian president Vladimir Putin or Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro.

“Absolutely not,” Gilmour replied. “I tend to steer clear of people who actively support genocidal and autocratic dictators like Putin and Maduro. Nothing would make me share a stage with someone who thinks such treatment of women and the LGBT community is OK.”

“On the other hand, I’d love to be back on stage with Rick Wright,” Gilmour added, referring to the late Pink Floyd keyboardist as “one of the gentlest and most musically gifted people I’ve ever known.”

Gilmour’s wife Polly Samson had criticized Waters on social media last year, calling him “anti-Semitic to your rotten core.”

Gilmour endorsed her opinion by re-posting the message on his Twitter handle.

Waters left Pink Floyd in 1985. Gilmour and drummer Nick Mason continued as Pink Floyd, rejoined later by keyboardist and vocalist Richard Wright.

Pink Floyd recently reportedly sold the rights to the band’s recorded music to Sony Music in a $400 million deal.

Neil Young To Release 50th Anniversary Edition Of ‘On The Beach’

Neil Young is celebrating 50 years of his 1974 album, On the Beach, with a limited-edition vinyl reissue.

The 50th-anniversary limited edition will be released on clear vinyl at the Greedy Hand Store at Neil Young Archives in addition to standard music retailers on November 8.

On the Beach is Young’s fifth studio album released by Reprise Records in July 1974. The album is the third of the so-called “Ditch Trilogy” of albums that Young recorded following the major success of 1972’s Harvest.

On the Beach was inspired by his feelings of retreat, alienation, and melancholy in response to this success.

The album features contributions from The Band’s Rick Danko and Levon Helm, his Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young collaborators Graham Nash and David Crosby, and Crazy Horse’s Billy Talbot and Ralph Molina.

Heart’s Ann Wilson Reveals She’s Finished Chemotherapy

Heart’s Ann Wilson has revealed that she has finished her chemotherapy.

About three months ago, the band announced that they were postponing their tour so that Wilson could undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy following a cancer diagnosis.

The 74-year-old musician recently shared an audio message in which she said: “Hello, everybody. Ann Wilson here. Now I know lots of you have been wondering how I’ve been doing, so I thought it’d be best if you heard this straight from me.”

“I’m doing absolutely fine now, but it’s been, to put it mildly, a lot. Chemo is no joke. It takes a lot out of a person. And then there’s that two weeks of waiting around for test results, a form of mental torture,” she continued. “For anyone who’s been through that, I empathize big time. Luckily for me, when the results finally came, they were the good kind, and so I’m excited to share with you that I’m now finished with chemo and I’m officially ready to get ready for the tour in 2025.”

“There’s maintenance going forward, but I’m told the side effects are much less severe. The worst is over and I’m thankful for the efficacy of this poison, but it’s more than welcome to get the fuck out of my body now,” Wilson added.

“I’m immensely grateful to everyone who prayed and sent me those good vibes,” she concluded. “I’ve so felt your love. My story has a happy ending, due in part to early detection. My advice? Get checked regularly. I love you all, and I’ll see you very, very soon. There’s much to celebrate.”

Meanwhile, the band recently announced rescheduled 2025 Royal Flush Tour dates, which now kick off in late February and conclude in April.
