Julian Lennon Says He’s Never Been A Part Of ‘Beatles Inner Circle’

John Lennon’s son Julian Lennon says he has never been a part of The Beatles’ “inner circle.”

“I’m not part of the inner circle — I never have been. You have to realize that when Dad left, when I was between 3 and 5, it was just Mum and me, and we had nothing to do with the Beatles or Dad. I visited him on the odd occasion but we were very much on the outside,” Julian, born to Lennon’s first wife Cynthia Lennon, said in a new interview with The Guardian.

He added, “I’m not upset about it. I’d rather be excited and impressed by what they did and continue to do. As a fan, I’m just as curious as anybody else; although I do find myself going, ‘How is it possible that there’s another Beatles film?'”

Julian, who was a child when Lennon died in 1980, is now 61.

“We’re best buddies. He tells me what he can, but things are pretty secret on the Beatles front,” Julian said, referring to his half-brother Sean Lennon.

Sammy Hagar Blasts Alex Van Halen For Leaving ‘Van Hagar’ Era Out Of Memoir

Sammy Hagar recently took to Instagram to criticize Alex Van Halen for leaving the “Van Hagar” era out of his memoir, “Brothers.”

Hagar accused Alex of “blasphemy” for ignoring the highly successful run he had with Van Halen.

The memoir focuses on Alex’s life and times with Eddie Van Halen, but ends with the original departure of David Lee Roth in 1985.

“What happened after Dave left is not the same band. … The magic was in the first years, when we didn’t know what we were doing; when we were willing to try anything,” explained Alex.

After Hagar posted a picture from 1991 on Instagram that showed himself and Eddie Van Halen heading for the stage before a show, a fan wrote, “Most purists believe VH ended with DLR,” prompting a terse response from Hagar.

“It could have [ended], my friend, but instead we went on to sell over 50 million records for [a] No. 1 album [then] sold out every building and stadium in the world for a whole decade,” commented Hagar. “That never happened again.”

“Alex is not doing his brother’s musical legacy justice by not acknowledging all the No. 1 albums and some great music Eddie and I wrote together — not Alex — but Eddie and I wrote together,” wrote Hagar. “To not acknowledge [those] 10 years of music is blasphemy to his brother’s musicianship, songwriting and legacy.”

Alex maintained that “the original band was the driving force,” in a more recent interview with the “Bringing It Back to The Beatles” podcast.

“That’s why the book ends in 1984, because that was true rock and roll,” he said. “After that, it became much more — I don’t know; I can’t explain it. But it’s not to say that it was not any good. We always did our best at whatever we were doing, but it wasn’t the same.”

Madame Tussauds London Unveils High-Flying Elton John Figure

Elton John’s new high-flying wax figure was recently unveiled at Madame Tussauds London. It marks the legendary musician’s brand new, first-of-its-kind figure.

Hot on the heels of the release of the critically acclaimed Disney+ documentary Elton John: Never Too Late, celebrating the megastar’s incredible 50-year career, the new figure achieves the gravity-defying feat of suspending mid-air in John’s signature keyboard handstand move from the era.

Madame Tussauds describes it as their “most structurally ambitious creation to date”.

The figure is styled from John’s legendary 1975 Midsummer Music one-day festival at Wembley Stadium. Madame Tussauds London’s team recreated the original bejeweled Bob Mackie jumpsuit worn for the performance for the figure. The look is accompanied by the Rocket Man’s signature flamboyant glasses and platform shoes.

Fans will be able to celebrate the Christmas season and see the new, gravity-defying figure at Madame Tussauds London in the Impossible Festival zone. It will join a legendary line up of music icons throughout the ages, like Beyoncé, Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, Amy Winehouse, Freddie Mercury and David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust.
