Mick Jagger Engaged To Longtime Partner Melanie Hamrick

Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger is engaged to his longtime partner Melanie Hamrick.

Although Jagger actually proposed two or three years ago, Hamrick, a former ballerina, confirmed the engagement in a recent interview with the French publication Paris Match.

She also added that they have no concrete plans for a wedding.

“We’ve been engaged two or three years,” Hamrick said. “Maybe one day we’ll marry, maybe not. We are so happy in our current life that I would be too afraid to change anything.”

Jagger, 81, and Hamrick, 37, have been together since 2014 and share a son, Deveraux, who was born in 2016. Hamrick first met Jagger while he was on tour with The Rolling Stones.

Jagger was previously married once, to Bianca Jagger from 1971 to 1978, with whom he shares one child. He also has children with Marsha Hunt, Jerry Hall, and Luciana Gimenez Morad.

Elton John Laments Not Being Able See His Sons Play Sports Due To Vision Loss

Elton John has expressed his sadness over missing the chance to watch his sons play sports, as an infection he suffered last summer has left him with vision problems.

“I can’t see TV, I can’t read. I can’t see my boys playing rugby and soccer,” the iconic singer told The Times. “It has been a very stressful time because I’m used to soaking it all up. It’s distressing.”

Last September, the singer wrote on Instagram that a “severe” infection had left him with “only limited vision” in one eye, adding that his recovery would “take time.”

Elton and his filmmaker husband David Furnish have two sons, Zachary and Elijah.

“You get emotional, but you have to get used to it, because I’m lucky to have the life I have,” he continued. “I still have my wonderful family, and I can still see something out of here.”

The singer, who just released a new album with Brandi Carlile, Who Believes in Angels?, added, “You say to yourself, just get on with it.”
