Bruce Springsteen joined John Densmore to perform a cover of The Doors’ “Light My Fire” at the American Music Honors event held at Monmouth University over the weekend.

American Music Honors is an annual event organized by the Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center.

Springsteen joined the Doors drummer Densmore, Steve Van Zandt, and the Disciples of Soul house band to perform the song.

“There is no one in the room in danger of filling Jim Morrison’s leather pants tonight,” Springsteen joked after joining the band on stage. He reassured the audience that the bad “will do what we can” before delivering the soaring rendition.

“Light My Fire,” written by guitarist Robby Krieger, was released in 1967. The song spent three weeks at the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100.

Densmore said via The Asbury Park Press that his connection to Springsteen and his wife Patti Scialfa dates back nearly six decades.

“The Doors played in Asbury Park and guess who was in the audience — the Boss! Hey, if our music helped Bruce shout out his bride, I’m hip,” he said. “It apparently worked. They’ve been together quite a while. You know, so long that maybe Patti’s the Boss.”

The City of Minneapolis and Paisley Park will celebrate Prince’s life and legacy with community sing-along at the Prince Celebration Block Party.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, alongside civic leaders and representatives from Paisley Park, announced details for the large-scale participatory music event, which will be a one-time-only signature addition to the annual Prince Celebration Block Party on June 6.

“In Minneapolis, we don’t just remember Prince – we feel him in the streets, in the music, in who we are,” said Frey. “So, this June, we’re turning downtown into a citywide choir, a full-on celebration, and yes, a dance party too. Whether you can hit every note or just love his songs, this sing-along is about honoring a legacy that still brings this city together every day. Trust me – you’re going to want to be part of this.”

The two-hour sing-along will be a free, all-ages outdoor event near the downtown Prince mural on the day before what would have been the Prince’s 68th birthday.

Led by acclaimed musical director Sanford Moore of Moore By Four and a Minneapolis-based mass choir of 100 vocalists, the crowd will be guided through a selection of Prince’s greatest hits, including “Purple Rain,” “When Doves Cry,” and “Sometimes it Snows in April.”

The Sing-Along represents the City of Minneapolis’ contribution to memorialize the 10-year anniversary year of Prince’s death and his birthday (June 7) as part of the Prince Celebration. The goal is to have up to 15,000 people singing arm-in-arm to Prince’s beloved music, possibly even setting a record for the most uploaded social stories in one place.

The multi-day Prince Celebration is an annual gathering of devoted Prince fans from around the world presented by Paisley Park. This year’s major five-day event, a “10th Anniversary Celebration of Life,” will take place during June 3 – 7.

Fleetwood Mac’s “Everywhere” has debuted on the Billboard Global 200 nearly 40 years after its release.

The melodic song from the British-American rock band’s 14th studio album, Tango in the Night, released in 1987, is ranked at No. 188 on the chart dated April 18.

The song was streamed 9.6 million times globally in the tracking week ending on April 9, according to Luminate.

In recent years, “Everywhere” was used as the soundtrack for Chevrolet and PayPal ads.

The song was written by Christine McVie, who also performed lead vocals.

The single peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on the Adult Contemporary chart. In the United Kingdom, “Everywhere” peaked at No. 4 on the UK Singles Chart and is certified 6× platinum by the British Phonographic Industry.

“Everywhere” also reached No. 1 in Belgium and on the Canadian adult contemporary chart and became a top-five hit in several other countries.

“Everywhere” marks the fourth song by Fleetwood Mac to have found a place on the Global 200.

The other songs are “Dreams,” “Landslide” and “The Chain”.

Duran Duran have teased a new song, “Free to Love,” a collaboration with producer Nile Rodgers.

Rodgers has a long history with Duran Duran. He remixed their 1984 single “The Reflex,” which became their first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and went on to be their biggest-selling single. Rodgers also produced the track “The Wild Boys,” which appeared on their 1984 live album, Arena, and peaked at No. 2 on the Hot 100.

He also co-produced their fourth studio album, 1986’s Notorious, and contributed to several other Duran Duran albums, including 2024’s Astronaut, 2015’s Paper Gods and 2023’s Danse Macabre.

Meanwhile, Duran Duran are set to headline the BeachLife Festival in Redondo Beach, California, on May 1. They’ll then head to Las Vegas for four nights at the Fontainebleau on May 2, 6, 8 and 9.

The Fort Wayne Police Department has arrested a woman, Michelle Dick, who allegedly stalked Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham in March when he showed up for an appointment in Santa Monica, California.

Dick, who authorities described as “a stalking suspect,” allegedly threw an unknown substance at Buckingham and immediately fled.

A Fort Wayne Police Department representative said Dick was taken into custody in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Saturday (April 11).

According to records obtained by Fox News Digital, the woman is being held without bond in the Allen County Jail, awaiting extradition to California.

According to court documents, Dick, who is known to have previously been accused of stalking Buckingham and his family, has been charged with two counts of stalking, two counts of threats to commit a crime with intent to terrorize, assault with a deadly weapon, vandalism and battery.

The offense dates range from October 2021 to as recently as last month.

Dick, who claims Buckingham is her biological father, told KTLA earlier this month that she had approached Buckingham in March and had previously gone to his Brentwood home.

“I am afraid her conduct may escalate into something physically dangerous to me and my family,” Buckingham wrote in a petition in 2024.

The harassment began in 2021, when Dick allegedly got “ahold of my wife Kristen’s business cell phone number and called the number dozens of times a day sometimes, leaving long drawn-out messages that included the claim that she was my child and threats to kill me and my family,” Buckingham stated in the petition.

“She also blamed me for facial deformities she apparently suffered as a child and demanded money. I do not know Ms. Dick, and I am not her father. She is clearly mentally unfit and harbors delusions which makes her scary to me and unpredictable,” Buckingham added.
