Sharon Osbourne Says Ozzy ‘Needed’ Final Concert Even Though He ‘Knew’ Death Was Near

Sharon Osbourne has revealed that Ozzy “needed” his final concert even though he “knew” he was nearing the end of his life.

During an appearance on the “Dumb Blonde” celebrity podcast, hosted by Bunnie XO, wife of country singer Jelly Roll, Sharon was asked how she is “picking [herself] back up” after the July 2025 death of her husband, legendary Black Sabbath singer Ozzy Osbourne.

“I’m getting there. I’m getting there,” Sharon said. “It’s hard, but I’m getting there. I’m gonna keep working and I’m gonna keep doing what I do in my life. And that’s it.”

She was also asked if she and the rest of her family knew that Ozzy was dying when they staged the “Back To The Beginning” concert, which was Ozzy’s final performance.

“Yeah. Two weeks before the show, they said he could probably die, and he did,” Sharon said. “But he wanted to do it so bad. He needed it. And it’s, like, ‘Whether I die in two weeks or I die in six months, I’m still dying. And I wanna go my way.’ And he did. He went like a rock star.”

Steve Perry Calls Rumors Of Him Rejoining Journey ‘Simply Not True’

Steve Perry has denied rumors that he is rejoining his old band, Journey, during their Final Frontier Tour this summer.

In a recent interview, Jonathan Cain claimed that Neal Schon has been in talks with Perry about the possibility, and that Perry hadn’t ruled it out. “He didn’t say no – leave it at that,” Cain said.

However, the former frontman has dismissed the speculation that he was approached to take part in the band’s farewell tour.

“I’ve been hearing these recent rumors, and I wanted to speak to you all directly. While I’m always grateful for the love people still have for Journey, the rumors about me rejoining the band are simply not true, and I want to gently put them to rest,” Perry shared on social media.

“I completely understand why people would hope for that. The music we created together means a great deal to me, too,” he continued. “But I’m continuing to explore new creative work and really enjoy working on new music that reflects where I am today. Thank you for your continued support throughout the years. Your loyalty has never gone unnoticed, and I am forever humbly grateful.”

As such, the lineup for Journey’s upcoming tour is expected to feature Cain, Schon, singer Arnel Pineda, keyboardist-vocalist Jason Derlatka, drummer-vocalist Deen Castronovo, and bassist Todd Jensen.
