Bon Jovi Share Video For New Holiday Song ‘Christmas Isn’t Christmas’

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band Bon Jovi recently shared an official video for their new holiday song “Christmas Isn’t Christmas,” released last month on Island Records.

The visual shows the band celebrating the holiday season, doing karaoke during a snowy night at a bar called Santa’s Pub.

“‘Christmas Isn’t Christmas’ is a song that I wrote about family. The sentiment that Christmas really isn’t Christmas without YOU which can bring up a lot of memories for people. I also liked to turn it around and know that because of you Christmas IS Christmas,” frontman Jon Bon Jovi said.

Bovi had posted on social media after the song’s initial release that he wrote the lyrics two years ago and that his parents were ill at the time and hence could not gather for a holiday.

“It was a tough day in the house. My dad and mom had both taken ill, and I wrote this as a gift to my parents and my children,” he wrote.

Rush’s Geddy Lee Shares Two Previously Unreleased Solo Songs

Rush’s Geddy Lee recently shared two previously unreleased solo songs, “Gone” and “I Am…You Are,” via Elektra Records.

The songs, released collectively as “The Lost Demos,” were originally recorded by Lee during the writing sessions of his 2000 solo debut, My Favorite Headache. The unearthed songs have been properly mixed and mastered by producer/engineer David Bottrill.

“I’m excited to see these two ‘lost demos’ released,” Lee said in a press release. “I loved the songs when they were written and in some ways they feel as fresh and perhaps more relevant all these years later.”

My Favorite Headache, co-produced by Lee, multi-instrumentalist Ben Mink and drummer Matt Cameron, arrived on November 14, 2000.

The Beatles Earn First No. 1 On Billboard Airplay Chart In Over 50 Years

The Beatles have earned their first No. 1 on a Billboard airplay chart in over half a century thanks to “Now and Then.”

“Now and Then” rose from No. 2 to the top spot on Billboard’s Adult Alternative Airplay tally dated December 9.

The song is The Beatles’ first No. 1 on the chart, which began in 1996. The band previously peaked at No. 11 with “Free as a Bird” that year.

The last time the band scored a No. 1 on a Billboard radio chart was 1970, when “Let It Be” ruled Adult Contemporary for four weeks in April.

“Now and Then” was released on November 2, 2023. Dubbed “the last Beatles song,” it appeared on a double A-side single, paired with a new stereo remix of the band’s first single, “Love Me Do” (1962), with the two serving as “bookends” to the band’s history.
