Oskaloosa–With more than half of their seasons completed, the Statesmen bowling teams are right where they need to be to qualify for the postseason.
The men are currently ranked #17 with five top-10 finishes, highlighted by a pair of runner-up efforts. Nick Walker (So., Zeeland, Mich., Business Management) is leading the men’s charge with a 205.9 average in 43 games; the sophomore has five top-25 showings (one top-10). Stian Hoff (Sr., Orkanger, Norway, General Accounting) is next for the navy and gold at a 201.6 clip (40 games) with one top-10 effort.
On the women’s side, WPU is #21 with five top-10 finishes (high of third). The Statesmen are led by Bailey Palmer (Fr., Ottumwa, Iowa, Undecided) with a 193.0 average in 44 games. Palmer has five top-25 performances, highlighted by three top-10s. Stephanie Adams (Sr., Souris, Manitoba, Business Management) is also doing well with a 188.5 mark in 38 games; she has three top-25 finishes (twice in the top 10).
William Penn travels to Addison, Ill. Saturday and Sunday to compete in the Kegel/ISBPA Midwest Collegiate Classic.
