Oskaloosa’s volleyball team did get some good news Tuesday (10/8).  The Indians are the third seed in Class 4A Region 5 and will host Carlisle in the first round of the playoffs on October 23.  Pella will also host Washington on October 23.  If Oskaloosa wins, they’ll play at second seed Knoxville on October 29.  The Pella/Washington winner will travel to Marion in the other Region 5 semifinal with the championship game set for November 4.  KBOE-FM and the No Coast Network will broadcast Oskaloosa volleyball throughout the playoffs.

Other playoff pairings announced Tuesday:  Ottumwa travels to Indianola in Class 5A Region 3; in 4A Region 4, Newton is at Grinnell; Class 3A Region 7, EBF travels to Williamsburg…and PCM is at Nevada. Class 3A Region 8, Albia hosts Chariton; Class 2A Region 5, Pella Christian hosts Interstate 35 on October 22, Cardinal is at Van Buren on October 28; Class 2A Region 6, Pekin hosts Danville; in Class 1A Region 4, Montezuma hosts BGM and Twin Cedars is at Lynnville-Sully and in Class 1A Region 8, North Mahaska is at Sigourney and Tri-County at Keota.

Class 5A, 4A and 3A playoffs begin October 23.  The 1A and 2A playoffs begin on October 22.
