Ottumwa boys golf just miss going to State

Ottumwa just missed going to the Class 4A State boys’ golf tournament.  The Bulldogs finished fourth in Tuesday’s (10/8) district meet at Copper Creek Golf Course.  But it’s the top three teams in the district that advance to State, with Ottumwa finishing two strokes behind third place Ames. But the Bulldogs will be represented at State by Joe Hammer, who shot a 77 Tuesday to qualify for State as an individual.  The Class 4A State Boys’ golf meet is this Friday and Saturday (10/11 & 12) at the Tournament Club of Iowa in Polk City.
