A press conference is scheduled this morning in Montezuma to update the search for Mollie Tibbetts. The 20-year-old Brooklyn woman has been missing for over two weeks. Yesterday, Tibbetts’ relatives announced that $172,000 has been raised for a reward fund to bring Mollie home. Her mom and dad say they believe she is still alive and hope the reward will lead to a tip-or if she was taken-lead the kidnapper to let her go.
The FBI and dozens of investigators from state and local agencies are working on the case, but have so far hit dead ends. The latest came yesterday, when police confirmed that a possible sighting of Tibbetts at a Missouri truck stop turned out not to be her.
