OSKALOOSA — The holiday season is just around the corner, and Oskaloosa residents are invited to help make the community shine by participating in the annual Home Decorating Contest!

Residents are encouraged to get creative and decorate their homes and yards for the holiday season. Whether you go all out with thousands of lights, create a festive winter display, or add your own unique holiday flair, this is your chance to help Light Up Oskaloosa and celebrate the season in a big way.

Participation in the contest is free, and winners will receive $100 in each of the five categories:

• Best in Show
• The Griswold
• Most Festive
• Best Use of Lights
• Best Use of Color

The deadline to enter is December 1. Judging will take place December 2 and 3, giving residents plenty of time to get their decorations ready and glowing.
