Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back to the Beginning documents Ozzy’s historic final farewell performance for his fans that took place at Villa Park stadium in his hometown of Birmingham, England, on July 5, 2025.
It was captured just 17 days before his untimely passing. The film highlights the historic day with performances from Ozzy, Black Sabbath, and some of the most influential names in rock, along with personal reflections from the superstar musicians they inspired, and a behind-the-scenes look at the day itself.
The eight-song soundtrack focuses on the Ozzy and Sabbath performances, featuring “I Don’t Know,” “Mr. Crowley,” “Suicide Solution,” “Mama, I’m Coming Home,” “Crazy Train,” “War Pigs,” “N.I.B.,” “Iron Man,” and “Paranoid.”
“Back to the Beginning was a once-in-a-lifetime event that will go down in music history,” says Ozzy’s wife Sharon Osbourne. “Ozzy suffered from chronic pain during the final six years of his life. His only wish was to perform one last time to thank his fans and say goodbye. It was an incredible day when his peers in the rock world descended on Aston from all over the globe to celebrate his legendary talent and extraordinary legacy.”
A deluxe box set of the film and soundtrack album will be released on April 23, 2027. Pre-order here.
