The Bangles co-founder Susanna Hoffs invites listeners to her most intimate, frank and personal conversations with the release of her brand new album of all original music, The List.

Recorded in her Los Angeles home and produced alongside CJ Camerieri, The List is said to be what happens when an artist and her closest friends gather around the kitchen table and share the stories that define one’s life.

From heartbreak to an empty nest, a new crush, foolish mistakes and the fading memory of what might have been, it is all part of The List, as Hoffs turns her deepest, decade-spanning memories into “a dozen touching and witty songs,” reflecting “an emotional wisdom that had to be earned through experience.”

The List turns the page to a new chapter of Hoffs’ astounding artistic legacy. Opening with “Casablanca,” inspired by the surreal New Orleans encounter Hoffs had with the Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir in 1988, The List closes with “What Are Wings For,” written by Hoffs, Camerieri, and Edie Brickell, for the musical adaptation of Hoffs’ bestselling, debut novel, “This Bird Has Flown.”

Sung by the story’s protagonist, Jane Start, it is a declaration of personal and artistic freedom, as Jane finds the courage to break free from expectation and claim her own moment in the spotlight, discovering her own voice.
