Neil Young has announced a new album, Second Song, marking his second album with the Chrome Hearts.

Their first album together was Talkin to the Trees, released in 2025, and featuring drummer Anthony LoGerfo, bassist Corey McCormick, guitarist Micah Nelson and keyboardist Spooner Oldham.

Second Song is due to be released on vinyl, CD, and digitally on September 18, via Reprise Records.

The new album consists of seven tracks, five of which are brand-new to Young’s fans, while the remaining two, “Casting Me Away From You” and “I’ll Love You Forever,” are new versions on Second Song. Second Song was produced at Shangri-La studio.

Young has announced his upcoming live performance at Farm Aid next month. The event is scheduled on September 26 at the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater in Virginia Beach. It will also feature Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews, Margo Price, Nathaniel Rateliff, Turnpike Troubadours and many more.
