Vinokur Resigns as Track and Field Coach

OSKALOOSA — William Penn Athletics Director Grant Farris has announced the resignation of Victoria Vinokur as the Head Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Coach.

In three years at the helm, Vinokur’s teams enjoyed great success.  Her athletes broke 39 school records, while 26 of them won Heart of America Athletic Conference championships and three were named Heart Meet Athlete of the Year.

On the national level, 10 athletes garnered All-America status with two of those awards being NAIA national titles.

In her tenure, the Statesmen men never finished outside the top five at the Heart Championships, including claiming two runner-up placings.

“We are grateful to Victoria for her dedication and commitment to William Penn University over the past three years,” Farris said.  “She has elevated our track and field programs to new heights, and the accomplishments of our student-athletes under her leadership speak for themselves.  We appreciate the positive impact she has had on our department and wish her nothing but the very best as she begins the next chapter of her career.”
