The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts recently shared the first look at the upcoming Beatles biopics, The Beatles — A Four Film Cinematic Event.
The photos, unveiled via postcards show Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison and Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr.
All four biopics, directed by Sam Mendes, are set to be released on April 7, 2028 by Sony Pictures, according to Variety.
In addition to the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, which was co-founded by McCartney, the postcards were also delivered to other iconic Beatles locations: Another batch in Liverpool at John Lennon’s childhood home; Hamburg (The Beatles Monument, Cavern Club, the Kaiserkeller, and The Star-Club); NYC (Strawberry Field in Central Park, New York University, Columbia University, and at various record stores, vintage clothing shops, cafes and bars); and Tokyo (Abbey Road Live, Tower Records in Shibuya, Broadway Diner in Yoyogi, Tsutaya, and The Capital Hotel Tokyo).
Sony Pictures officially released the pictures on Friday (January 30).
Saoirse Ronan stars as Linda McCartney in the movie, while James Norton portrays Brian Epstein, Mia McKenna-Bruce appears as Maureen Starkey, and Anna Sawai plays Yoko Ono.
Aimee Lou Wood, Harry Lloyd, David Morrissey, Leanne Best, Bobby Schofield, Daniel Hoffmann-Gill, Arthur Darvill, and Adam Pally also star in the Beatles biopics.
“I’m honored to be telling the story of the greatest rock band of all time, and excited to challenge the notion of what constitutes a trip to the movies,” Mendes said in a statement when the multi-film project was announced.
