Freddie Mercury’s Debut Solo Album ‘Mr Bad Guy’ To Be Reissued On Vinyl For 40th Anniversary

Legendary Queen frontman Freddie Mercury’s debut solo album Mr Bad Guy is set to get a reissue on vinyl in celebration of the record’s 40th anniversary.

Mr Bad Guy, which was released in 1985, was Mercury’s first album away from the band he had co-founded 15 years before.

The reissue on 180g translucent green vinyl is due out on December 5th via Hollywood Records in the U.S. and Canada and via Universal for all other territories. An exclusive picture disc LP will be out via D2C.

“I had a lot of ideas bursting to get out and there were a lot of musical territories I wanted to explore which I really couldn’t do within Queen,” Mercury saidof the album at the time.

Mercury recorded Mr Bad Guy over a period of several months at Munich’s Musicland Studio, where Queen had made their most recent albums. Mercury and Reinhold Mack co-produced the record.
