Southern Iowa Speedway Set For Season Opener April 30

OSKALOOSA — The 2025 racing season at the Southern Iowa Speedway is set to get underway on Wednesday, April 30th. The ½ mile Speedway located on the Mahaska County Fairgrounds in Oskaloosa will once again be under the direction of the Southern Iowa Fairboard with the Race Committee directing the racing action.

The season opener will be sponsored by KBOE Radio and it will also be College Student night, all College Students will be admitted free by simply showing a current College ID.

Five classes of race cars will be in action being headlined by the very popular Stock Cars, also in action will be the Sportmods, Hobby Stocks, Sport Compacts and the Non Winged Sprint Cars. Hot laps will take to the Southern Iowa Speedway at 7:15 pm with racing to follow.

The 2025 season promises to be a very exciting year, in addition to weekly racing the SLMR Super Late Models will return on Wednesday, June 25th, the Sprint Invaders will be back in Osky during the Southern Iowa Fair on Thursday, July 17th, plus Red Neck Rally’s and Demolition Derby’s will also be held in 2025.
