OFFBEAT NEWS:
Politician Kicked Off The Ballot Because Of His Water Bill
Frederick Ramirez probably wishes he took a few more bubble baths. The politician had his hat in the ring for a spot in the Pennsylvania Legislature but thanks to his water bill, he’s been kicked off the ballot.
An investigation found that for the 11 months he claimed a house in a specific district as his main residence, he only used about 3,000 gallons of water, which is the equivalent of less than two toilet flushes a day.
There are other questions being raised about whether he lives in the district he’s trying to represent. According to the judge who kicked him out of the face, “the fact that there are no photographs or pictures on the walls, combined with the fact that his daughter’s room is still decorated for an infant,” “strongly” proves he only uses the house at his convenience, not as a permanent residence.
Now that Ramirez is out of the race, there’s only one candidate left on the ballot- Republican Lucinda Little. At this point, officials are investigating whether or not Democrats have the right to pick someone to take over that spot ahead of the March 21st election.

Surgeon Donates Kidney To Her Coworker
Dr. Colleen Coleman is the kind of coworker you want. The surgeon at California’s Hoag Hospital Newport Beach heard her coworker Brian Dunn needed a kidney transplant…so she went under the knife herself.
Understandably, Coleman was nervous about going under the knife, but she thought about her grandmother, who died of kidney failure. Coleman’s mom was six when her mother died. Dunn’s daughter is six-years-old and as Coleman put it, “I didn’t want his daughter to grow up without a dad.”
The great news? Surgery went well and both Coleman and Dunn are doing well. Dunn is understandably grateful, giving his donor and coworker a letter and a pair of kidney shaped Tiffany earrings. Proving she goes above and beyond, Coleman gave Dunn a Tiffany money clip in the shape of a kidney.
Despite saving her coworker’s life, Coleman doesn’t think she deserves to be labeled a “hero,” which many people at the hospital were doing. “I did not understand how impactful it would be to help someone in this way,” she explains. “There is a benefit to giving. But hero is a very embarrassing word.”

Man Quits His Job With A Note Written On Toilet Paper
One man has had enough of his crappy job, and he wanted his boss to know it. Literally. A woman shared a picture of her husband’s letter of resignation…which he wrote on a piece of toilet paper.
The letter reads, “I have chosen this type of paper for my 2 week resignation as a symbol of how I feel this company has treated me, and ironically, how it is disposed of is where I feel the company is going.” To really send the message home, the man drew a picture of a toilet next to his signature.
This disgruntled employee’s wife says her hubby knew he wouldn’t get a good response, but doesn’t need a recommendation from them anyway. Plus, she says he’s happier and more relaxed than ever.

STUPID CRIMINALS:
Would be carjackers apologize to victim before fleeing:
Kristy Welch is not someone to mess with. The Milwaukee woman had just gotten home from her ceramics class when two men held her at gunpoint. “They wanted me to come out to the car, but I wasn’t going,” Welch explains. “I’m not exactly light weight. They’re not going to pull me out.” Her husband had installed a camera 10 years earlier and she says it caught most of the incident. Something you won’t see in the recording? The suspects reportedly yelled “God bless you” and apologized profusely to Welch, who says she’s not scarred from the incident, just confused. Police are currently on the hunt for these polite criminals.
