BROOKLYN – North Mahaska continued its quest for a South Iowa Cedar League title with a three-set victory at BGM Monday. North Mahaska won 25-18, 25-13, 25-22. The Warhawks improve to 8-0 overall and 2-0 in league play.
North Mahaska outdueled BGM in kills 41-19, many off the assists of Kayla Readshaw (22). Natalya Linder led with 13 kills and three blocks. Regan Grewe recorded nine kills, Sydney Andersen had seven and Abby Van Weelden hit six. Carly Lake and Libby Hargis doled out six assists each.
Andersen led in digs with 11 and Grewe had nine and Ally Livezey had six. Lake led the serving going 13-for-13 with three service aces.
BGM was led in kills by Ryanne Van Dee and Emersyn Minneart with six and five respectively. Kylie Arment doled out 19 assists.
North Mahaska will return to action Thursday when they host Lynnville-Sully beginning at 5:30 p.m.
