OSKALOOSA — William Penn University Athletics Director Aleesha Rabedeaux is proud to announce the hiring of Kaleb Preston as the new Head Women’s Soccer Coach.
Preston comes to WPU after serving two seasons as an assistant coach at IU Kokomo. While on the staff, he helped lead the Cougars to back-to-back River States Conference regular season and tournament crowns.
“We are thrilled to add Coach Preston to the team,” Rabedeaux said. “He brings an incredible energy and a proven ability to build relationships. He understands and prioritizes how important the holistic development of each student-athlete is here at William Penn. We look forward to growth within our women’s soccer program under his leadership.”
IUK owned a 27-7-8 record (16-1-3 RSC) during Preston’s tenure and qualified for the NAIA National Championship Opening Round twice. He coached 15 individuals to all-conference awards, while one player earned All-America status. An additional 18 Cougars garnered either RSC Scholar-Athlete or NAIA Scholar-Athlete recognition.
Prior to his time at IU Kokomo, Preston was a staff coach and assistant camp director at FC Athletico in North Carolina.
“I am thrilled for this opportunity to work with the women’s soccer program at William Penn University,” Preston said. “I am grateful for the trust that Aleesha Rabedeaux and the rest of the hiring committee has put in me for this role.”
A 2019 graduate of Ball State University with a degree in Business Administration, Preston played on the University’s club team, while also coaching the U13 and U14 Delaware County Futbol Club squads.
Preston, who holds a US Soccer National D License, earned his Master’s of Coaching and Exercise Science degree at Concordia University Irvine in 2020.
“I am excited to get to know the women involved with the program and am looking forward to helping develop and cultivate an environment that they are excited to be in,” Preston said. “I am ready to get on the field and put in the work, and expect exciting times ahead for the women’s soccer program at WPU.”
