Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks, Anthony Phillips and Mike Rutherford formed the prog-rock band in 1967 with the group’s early lineup cemented in the early ’70s with the addition of Phil Collins and Steve Hackett. Frontman Peter Gabriel left Genesis in 1975, with drummer Phil Collins taking over as frontman until 1996.
Genesis released 15 studio albums throughout its tenure. The albums not set for reissue are the band’s first two: 1969’s From Genesis to Revelation and 1970’s Trespass.
