OFFBEAT NEWS:
Kid Behind The Wheel Leads Cops On A Chase
Police in Fostoria, Ohio thought they had a bad driver on their hands when they spotted a car braking often and driving without headlights. What they actually had was a 10-year-old with a wild streak.
It turns out the kid took his parents car – without their permission, of course – and drove 11 miles to a nearby town’s convenience store. When police started tailing him, the minor sped off at 70-miles per hour.
The car eventually hit a curb and stopped, which is when cops discovered it was a tween behind the wheel. He was taken in and charged with fleeing from police and while at this point, his parents haven’t been charged with anything, juvenile court and children’s services are reviewing the case.

Fire At A Marijuana Shop Sends Smoke Into The Air
Seattle marijuana shop Greenside Recreational went up in flames and while the cause is still under investigation, the fire did cause a lot of smoke to billow into the air.
Thanks to the products it deals in, Greenside Recreational is very secure, which made it hard for firefighters to get in. Luckily, no one was harmed but the fire did cause $70-thousand worth of damage.
No word on if that smoke gave anyone the munchies.

Forget the roses or the romantic dinner, for the seventh year in a row, New York’s Bronx Zoo wants you to name a cockroach after someone this Valentine’s Day.
For a $10 donation, the zoo will send an email to the recipient letting them know there’s now a Madagascar hissing cockroach named in their honor.
All proceeds go to the Wildlife Conversation Society and for a larger donation, the Bronx Zoo will toss in a box of chocolates or a roach stuff animal.

Man rides his bike naked and drunk in Austria:
Police in Villach, Austria had a presumably very cold criminal on their hands. A man was spotted riding his bike naked, and not surprisingly, drunk, through the streets. His joyride included trying to steer his cycle through the revolving door of a hotel, pulling a fire alarm and then dropping his bike to sprint through part of the city to avoid police.
