OFFBEAT NEWS:
Monkey Makes A Break For It In Israel
Kuner the monkey is enjoying some time on the town in Ramat Gan, Israel. The capuchin managed to use a tree branch to swing himself out of the largest zoo in the country.
The six-and-a-half-pound monkey is the size of a house cat and reportedly no threat to humans. Spokeswoman Sagit Horowitz says if residents spot the monkey, they should avoid making loud noises that could scare him away.
This isn’t the first time Kuner has made a break for it. The monkey briefly escaped 11 years ago, when a storm knocked over a tree trunk that he used to get out. That time, he returned on his own.

Couple Shocked As Their ‘Micro-Pig’ Turns Into A 670-Pound Pet
Steve Jenkins and his partner thought they were buying a micro-pig. Instead, they’ve come to find there’s nothing micro about their pet.
The hog – Esther – is now 10 times her original size, weighing in at 670-pounds. To give you some perspective, that means she’s heavier than a fully grown female polar bear.
Don’t want to make this mistake? Jenkins says he was told by an expert that Esther’s tail should have been a giveaway. Her tail was cropped, which is a clear sign she was on a commercial farm as breeders raising the animals for the pet trade would not cut a pig’s tail.

STUPID CRIMINALS:
Father sent to jail for leaving his child in a freezing car while he gambled:
A father of four in Italy left one of his kids in a freezing car while he gambled at a local bar. Gambling problem? Probably. Supremely stupid? Definitely. Authorities aren’t releasing the 34-year-old’s name, but we do know he left his three-year-old son in a car for hours in the early morning. To make matters worse, it was about 24 degrees outside at the time. The bad dad has been given a sentence of three years and four months in jail, during which time the child will stay with his mother.
Man arrested after he dumped dirt on courthouse steps:
Commuters in Derby, England were surprised when they saw a tractor trailer carrying dirt driving through the streets during rush hour. It’s final destination was the local courthouse, where the unidentified driver dumped the pile on the steps. Why? The 49-year-old left a note explaining he wasn’t happy with the way the legal system worked out for him. He added, “Sorry for an inconvenience caused (to the general public).” The driver was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.
