EDDYVILLE — The Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Community School District proudly announces that Mr. Curt Johnston has been named Southeast Iowa Activities Director of the Year. This award recognizes Mr. Johnston’s outstanding contributions to the enhancement of youth, junior high, and high school activities within our district.
Mr. Johnston has long-standing roots at Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont as a teacher, coach, and activities director. His unwavering commitment to EBF students and staff has significantly impacted EBF and its students. As the Southeast Iowa Activities Director of the Year, Mr. Johnston’s dedication to organizing and supporting various school activities has set a standard of positivity and excellence with all community members.
Mr. Johnston has a passion for nurturing youth and their goals. His impact scheduling and mentoring young coaches and teachers impacts our EBF community greatly. I add, “I believe this award is testament to his leadership and unwavering dedication to the EBF community. EBF is fortunate to have someone work so hard to provide opportunities for our students and community.”
Mr. Johnston states, “It is a great honor for me to be recognized by other activity directors in our part of the state but speaks even more highly of the coaches & student-athletes that represent EBF in such a positive way. I enjoy interacting with coaches, officials, & community members to host events that allow our students to perform at their best win or lose.”
