The Guess Who have announced that their new album, Plein D’Amour, will be released later this year in partnership with Deko Entertainment.
The legendary Canadian band also shared the official music video for the upcoming album’s lead single, “The King.”
The rock band’s biggest hit was the 1970 album American Woman, which became a chart-topper in Canada.
Speaking about the Guess Who’s 12th studio album, guitarist Michael Staertow said, “We couldn’t think of a better time to introduce the world to an exceptional collection of songs that exude positivity and cohesive energy, a much-needed cultural antidote. Now we ARE love — ‘Plein D’Amour’!”
“After recording this album, and living with it for a while, I believe this is the best album that I have played on,” added the band’s founding member, Garry Peterson.
‘The King’ is a nod to ‘all the king’s horses and all the king’s men, couldn’t put Humpty together again,'” according to guitarist and vocalist Derek Sharp.
The 8-track album was recorded at Villa Sound in Singhampton, Ontario, Canada with Adam Fair.
