The Pella Community School Board met yesterday and had their legislative roundtable followed by a work session. District 40 Senator Ken Rozenboom as well as Tyler Stewart, who is running for District 19 Senator, were both present to discuss legislative priorities with the board.

Senator Rozenboom spoke in support of the continued funding of private and religious schools…
Stewart, meanwhile, stressed the importance of the treatment of teachers and increased instances of burnout…
During the work session, the board approved a cooperative agreement with the Knoxville School District and Pella Christian to share their girls wrestling program beginning in the next school year and had their first reading of updated policies regarding community relations. The next Pella Community School Board meeting will take place on October 24.
