Oskaloosa High School will have a new varsity volleyball coach this fall. Ashley Goytia will replace Jennifer Comfort, who stepped down after last season. Goytia played two years at a community college, then two years at William Penn as a back row player. She talks about her volleyball philosophy.
“We’ll figure it out as we go. I don’t have a complex style. We like to stick to the basics and work from there–build off of that.”
Oskaloosa’s first volleyball game of the new season will be August 22 at a tournament in Knoxville. The Indians’ home opener will be September 13 against Pella.
