Oskaloosa’s baseball team split a doubleheader with Dallas Center-Grimes Wednesday night (6/15) in Oskaloosa. DC-G rallied for four runs in the sixth inning to beat the Indians 8-6 in game one. Charlie North had three hits, including a home run for Oskaloosa….with Colin Snitker and Will Schultz also getting three hits apiece. In game two, the Indians won it 3-2 in nine innings. Colin Snitker homered for Oskaloosa with Will Schultz having another three hit game. Garrett Roethler was the winning pitcher. The Indians are now 6-11 overall and 2-7 in the Little Hawkeye Conference. The Indians’ baseball team plays at Centerville Thursday night (6/16).
Switching to softball, Dallas Center-Grimes swept Oskaloosa in a Wednesday doubleheader at Jay Harms Field. The Mustangs took the first game 15-1 and the nightcap 7-3. Presley Blommers went 4-4 with two runs batted in for Oskaloosa in game two and was also the losing pitcher. The Indians are now 7-10 overall and 5-6 in the Conference. Osky plays at Newton Friday night (6/17).
