Washington holds off Osky baseball

Oskaloosa’s baseball team almost overcame a six run deficit Tuesday night (6/14), but Washington held on to beat the Indians 8-7 in Oskaloosa.  Kole Williams went 4 for 4 with three runs batted in for Washington, as the Demons jumped to a 7-1 lead after four innings.  Oskaloosa came back with three runs in the fifth and three runs in the sixth.  In between, though, Washington scored in their half of the sixth—an insurance run that paid off.  Charlie North, Colin Snitker and Cael Butler drove in two runs apiece for Oskaloosa.  The Indians are now 5-10 on the season.  They’ll host Dallas Center-Grimes Wednesday (6/15) in a doubleheader starting at 5:30.
