Tears For Fears recently shared a music video for “Break The Man,” the third single from their upcoming album, The Tipping Point.
“No more wondering what happens now/No more holding your feet to the fire/When everything is running down/No more pain,” Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith sing on the track.
The British duo is scheduled to release their highly anticipated studio album on February 25 via Concord Records.
Speaking about the song, Smith said, “‘Break The Man’ is about a strong woman, and breaking the patriarchy. I feel that a lot of the problems we’ve been having as a country and even worldwide to a certain degree has come from male dominance.”
“It’s a song about a woman who is strong enough to break the man,” he added. “For me, that would be an answer to a lot of the problems in the world – a better male-female balance.”
“Break The Man” was co-written by Smith and Charlton Pettus.
Tears for Fears’ U.S. tour with special guest Garbage is set to kick off in Cincinnati on May 20.
